Founder

My name is Marco Montemagno and my daily day job is talking about Internet opportunities to the people in order to impact and cause social change in my country (in Italy 6 out of 10 Italians do not use the Internet ).

I have been hosting a TV show in Italy since 2004 and since 2008 have been travelling around Italy (in schools, squares, universities, theaters, the Italian Parliament, hospices, castles even (!), for all kind of events ranging from 10 to 3,000 people) to divulge theInternet to the masses (below you can see a video of me in action).

For this reason I dedicate a great deal of my time studying various communication formats in order to communicate and motivate different audiences ((approach obviously differs when speaking to senior citizens, teens or corporate executives).
Public speaking style, location, interaction tools as well as several other variables are all fundamental factors when trying to engage your audience and getting your message across to them.

That’s why Talkology is so important for me.

The field of talkology intrigues me because it is directly related to my field of work and this is the reason behind the launch of The Talkologist.
Along with my research team we will be studying the impacts of talks and develop useful tools to be shared with everyone interested in talkology.
